I had the privilidge of working with Abel Black on this innovative project.
It was originally designed as a platform to show case new music in the Zambian music industry. Abel being a designer, was quite particular about the designs and features he wanted, which made using a Generic CMS impractical. I ended up building the site from scratch as per his specifications using CodeIgniter, JQuery.
It was quite the experience working with a designer, on one level him giving exact dimensions and hexademical codes for the colors he wanted made development easier, on the other hand some of his design ideas pushed my CSS and Javascript to their limits and forced me to upskill in those areas.
The development also included building a backend dashboard from which new music/articles can be uploaded as well as monitoring site usage and other statistics.
